2 Died, 1 Hurt in Pagadian City Shooting

PAGADIAN CITY – Two dead, one wounded in Shooting incident transpired at New Agora fronting Santa Lucia National High School, Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City at about 7:45 PM on May 6, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Noel Carbonillas Y Solmeron, 40 years old, male, married, Filipino, jobless, with postal address at New Agora, Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City.

He sustained four (4) gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body and was brought to Hofileña Hospital by his friends. He is still under observation by the attending physician.

The other victim identified as Mario Binghay, of legal age, a residence at Banale, Pagadian City. He also sustained lone gunshot wound on his right chest and was rushed to Borbon Hospital and subsequently transferred to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Initial investigation disclosed that as revealed by some bystanders in the area that at about 7:45 PM of May 6, 2019, accordingly, victim identified as Mario Binghay arrived at New Agora, Sta Lucia District, Pagadian City on board on a single motorcycle, and few minutes after several gun burst of fire were heard by the by-standers and the two mentioned victims were brought to different to said hospital after seeing them lying with blood.

Further investigation disclosed that there was an exchange of fire being heard in the area considering that the area is not so well-lighted, also hit during the shooting incident were Jhon Kenneth Apolo Y Nepumuceno, 10 years old, student with residence at Purok Kahayag, Dumagoc, Pagadian City and one (1) Benjamin Amparado Y Eleccion, 65 years old, married, driver with residence at Upper Lumboy, Tuburan, Pagadian City.

The latter (Benjamin Amparado Y Eleccion) was driving his passenger tri-van with his passenger John Kenneth Apolo, and while passing at the place of incident was hit by a bullet, Jhon Kenneth N Apolo and Benjamin E Amparado were brought to Mendero hospital, but the former/ victim John Kenneth Apolo was declared dead few minutes after being treated at the same hospital.

Evidence recovered from the crime scene were seven (7) fired cartridge cases of caliber .45 pistol, one (1) fired bullet of caliber .45 pistol, three (3) pieces live ammunition of a 12 gauge shotgun.

The single motorcycle driven by Mario Binghay was taken by his companion just before the responding PNP team arrived.

PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are still conducting investigation as to the circumstances of the incident to determine the real respondents of this case.
