Drug Suspect Busted in Pagadian

PAGADIAN CITY (June 26, 2018) - City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Pagadian City Police Station arrested one person involved in illegal drugs during the conduct of anti-illegal drug buy bust operation at Purok Bougainvillea, Barangay San Pedro Pagadian City on June 24, 2018 at about 7:00pm.

Police identified the arrested as Vincidor Bulahan Adonis, 33 years old, married, and resident of Purok Bougainvillea, Barangay San Pedro Pagadian City.

Confiscated from his possession and control are the following: One piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as “shabu”, as buy-bust item and Five pieces of one hundred peso (Php100) bills as marked money. 

The Confiscated items are now under the custody of Pagadian CPS and to be turn-over to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (PCLO) for qualitative examination.

Subject person is now temporary detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell, while appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” is being prepared for filing in court.

Man Arrested in Pagadian for the Crime of Frustrated Murder

PAGADIAN CITY (June 22, 2018) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station together with Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU9), Provincial Intelligence Branch (ZDSPIB) and Dimataling MPS arrested the wanted person during the conduct of police operation on Service of Arrest Warrant at Purok Santan-B, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City at about 4:15 PM of June 21, 2018.

The police identified the arrested wanted person as Ricky Dela Peña Cañete Aka “Boboy Cañete”, 32 years old, male, single, Filipino, and resident of Purok Santan-B, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder issued by Honorable Judge Alma V. Azanza, Regional Trial Court of 10^th Judicial Region Branch-12 in Oroquieta City. The case docketed under Criminal Case No. 2018-057, dated 21, May 2018.

Arrested subject person is now temporary detained under the temporary custody of Pagadian CPS detention cell awaiting court disposition

Rape Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (June 19, 2018) - On June 18, 2018 at about 6:10 PM, detective team of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Masanagon-1, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Romeo Gemino Cabalida Jr, 22 years old, male, single, and resident of Purok Fisher Ville, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape and Violation of section 5 (b) of RA 7610, dated June 1, 2018 docketed under Criminal Case No. 13894-2k18 and 13893-2K18, issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City with no bail bond recommended.

The arrested person is now temporary detained at Pagadin CPS detention cell awaiting court disposition.

12-year old girl hit by stray bullet in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (June 15, 2018) – A 12 years old girl was hit by the stray bullet at left shoulder Wednesday at about 5:00pm, police official said.

PO2 Mizrach Lapid, investigator on case identified the victim as Lovel Makiling Gabon, 12 years old, Grade 8 student of Danlugan National High School and a resident of Purok Cadena de Amor, Barangay Alegria, Pagadian City.

In the initial investigation disclosed that the incident transpired at Purok Kamunggay, Barangay Alegria in this city.

While the victim was buying their snack at the Sari-Sari store owned by Victoria Baleton located at the above-mentioned place when she heard a burst of gunfire from a nearby altercation of male persons along the barangay road, PO2 Lapid said.

The victim ran and dropped to the ground where she found that she was hit by a stray bullet at the upper left part of her left shoulder, Police investigator added.

The victim immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical attention while the case is under investigation. (By JONG CADION)

Woman nabbed for the Crime of Falsification of Public Document

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (July 8, 2018) - The operatives of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) Friday at about 11:30 o’clock in the morning at City Hall Complex, Gatas District of this. 

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Josephine Palmero Caang, 46 years old, female, married, Filipino and a resident of Block 6, Lot 9, Alta Tierra Napolan Subdivision, Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Honorable Judge Joel G Vercide, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 01, Pagadian City for the crime of Falsification of Public Document issued on June 6, 2018 with criminal case number 17811.

Woman Arrested for the Crime of Large Scale/ Syndicated Illegal Recruitment

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (July 8, 2018) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant), at Purok Santan B, Brgy San Jose, Pagadian City Friday at about 9:50 AM.

The successful operation was resulted to the arrest of Christina Aguilar Tan, 40 years old, female, married, and a resident of the said place.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Honorable Judge Rolando L Goan, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City for the crime of Large Scale/ Syndicated Illegal Recruitment issued on April 18, 2018 with criminal case number 10489-2k12.

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS while waiting for court disposition. (By JONG CADION)

Dead Body Found in Pagadian City

On June 06, 2018 at about 9:40 AM, PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS received a cellular phone call from personnel of Zamboanga Lodging House located at Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City, informing that a male dead body was found inside the room number 336 of said lodging house. 

Upon receipt of the report, duty investigator of Pagadian CPS proceeded to the reported place. Upon arrival thereat, the victim was later identified as Jerry Camasora Lanzado, 54 years old, male, married, tricycle driver, and resident of Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City was lying lifeless on the bed inside the said room.

Investigation conducted disclosed that victim was a regular customer of said lodging house, and accordingly the victim checked in around 8:00 AM of June 6, 2018 along with one (1) unidentified female person who allegedly left after the incident.

Further investigation revealed that based on the post mortem examination conducted by the duty physician of City Health Office there was no foul play or any contusion and abrasion found on the body of the victim.

The cadaver now lies at Fatima Funeral Homes, Lumbia District, Pagadian City.

Arrest of Wanted Person in Pagadian City

Detective team of Pagadian City Police conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Tisa, Barangay Baloyboan, Pagadian City on June 3, 2018 at about 9:20 AM.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Alecio Sabello Padogdog, 44 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Tisa, Barangay Baloyboan, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Grave Coercion, docketed under Criminal Case No. 17266, issued by Hon. Johnabel H. Tabunda, Presiding Judge, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 02, Pagadian City dated 24 April 2018 with no bail bond recommended.

Subject person is now temporary detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell awaiting court disposition.

Stabbing Incident in Pagadian City

On June 02, 2018 at about 12:30 AM, a stabbing incident transpired at Gate 10, Agora Public Market, Sta Lucia, Pagadian.

The victim identified as Judith Sumaragot Sabate, 38 y/o, female, and a resident of Purok Tundan, Langapod, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

She was stabbed by her live-in partner identified as Alberto Matchuca Medina, 71 y/o, male and a resident of Purok Lakatan, Langapod, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the victim was drinking tuba wine in the market stool along Gate 10, Agora Public Market, Pagadian City.

The suspect arrived and asked forgiveness then proposed to rekindle their relationship as live-in partners and further warned the victim should she not follow the suspect’s intention, he will be constrained to kill the victim.

Thereupon the victim denied the suspect’s request and as succeeding events, suspect pulled a knife from his waist then stabbed the victim hitting on her body who sustained seven (7) stabbed wounds.

First responder, Hon Bonifacio Boron-Brgy Captain of Sta. Lucia and brought the victim to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center.

The suspect was arrested and is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.  Investigator is PO3 Marithy C Chiong with CP# 09121890301.
