1 wounded in Explosion Incident in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 27, 2018) – One person was wounded in an explosion transpired at Purok Bakhaw, Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City about 9:15 PM of August 26, 2018. Acting on said report, elements of Pagadian City Police Station proceeded to the place of incident to conduct inspection and investigation.

Upon arrival thereat, said team immediately conducted the EOD team and SOCO to process the crime scene.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, according to the residents of said place, a loud explosion was heard particularly at the house of the victim identified as Merna Tanoy, 39 years old, female and a resident of said place.

At around 9:45 PM, EOD Team arrived and immediately conducted post blast investigation, while the SOCO Team arrived at 9:55 PM of said date and process the crime scene.

According their investigation, the kind of explosion is still to be determined. Further investigation revealed that, the explosive was placed under the house of the victim particularly at one of the post of the victim’s house made of bamboo.  

That during the incident, said victim sustained minor injury on her left hand and no other casualty involved. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identification of the suspect.

Meanwhile, SOCO and EOD team are still conducting examination to determine the type of explosive being used. Investigator on case is PO1 Renji Narciso with contact no. 09128212873.

1 person woujded in Stabbing Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.25, 2018) – One person was woundd in stabbing incident transpired at Senior Pedros Lechon Manok establishment located at Cerilles St., Corner Salazar St., Santa Maria Dist., Pagadian City At about 8:30 PM of August 24, 2018.

The victim identified as Almer A. Nuevo aka Mansor, Filipino, 22 years old, male, single, Agar-Agar Harvester, and a resident of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur was stabbed by two unidentified suspect riding-in-tandem on board a XRM Black and White.

Investigation disclosed, that the victim together with a certain Asya Cana, female, 40 years old, businesswoman, and a resident of Tarakan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur, was waiting for a passenger tricycle after eating at the said establishment when he was approached by two unidentified male person riding-in-tandem on board Honda XRM Color Black and White with for registration plate.

The victim claimed that he was boxed three times by the back rider who was wearing White Shirt and Maong Pants with black close helmet and thereafter stabbed four times with the use of a knife.

The suspect driver who was wearing black jacket, blue maong pants and also in black close helmet immediately picked-up the back rider from a distance and immediately fled to unknown direction.

The victim was then brought by a concern citizen to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City. Based on the initial findings of the attending physician, the victim sustained four stab wounds which described as follows;

a) Two stab wounds at the back;

b) One stab wound at the right upper shoulder; and

c) One stab wound at the right lower shoulder; The Victim is now under observation at the above-mentioned hospital. The motive of the incident is still to be determined. Investigator is PO3 Danilyn R Limbo with CP number 09101750105.

Man Arrested in Pagadian City for Violation of City Ordinance

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 25, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station arrested one person during the conduct of police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 2:30pm of August 23, 2018 at Zone 2, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City.

The operating team identified the arrested person as John Anthony Pielago Francisco, 27 years old, male with live-in partner, Filipino and a resident of Zone 2, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest with criminal case number 51056 issued by Honorable Judge Rochelle Marie R. Zambas-Ucat, Presiding Judge, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 4, Hall of Justice, Libertad, Butuan City for “Violation of SP Ordinance No. 89492/ 2062-96 section 31.07”( Traffic and Transportation Code of Butuan City–City Traffic Ordinance “ Disregarding Traffic Signs”) issued on July 26, 2018 with a recommended bail bond of Two Thousand Pesos (Php2, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

2 person were dead in Vehicular Accident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.23, 2018) – Two person were dead in Vehicular accident occurred at Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City at about 3:00am of August 22, 2018.

The vehicle involved was a Suzuki single motorcycle with plate number JA 68839 driven by Jenebe Reteza Ordonio, 19 years old, female, resident of Tiguma, Pagadian City together with her back rider identified as Warren Baloran y Pantilauta, 25 years old, male, resident of Roxas street, Sto Niño, Pagadian City.

The said riders was traversing along Rizal Avenue on the way to Tiguma, Pagadian City and upon reaching at Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City the driver of said single motor lost control and bumped into Isuzu Forward driven by Titing Kinsuan Imam a resident of Sultan Naga Dimaporo with plate number MDL 653 traversing from opposite direction.

The accident was resulted to the dead on the spot of the driver and back rider of the single motorcycle.

Wanted Man Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.18, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Tabina MPS and Pagadian CPS arrested the wanted person during the conducted of joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 10:00am of August 17, 2018 at Purok Fishersville, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City.

The operating troops identified the arrested person as Dennis Abeso Bargio, 25 years old, male, fisherman, single, Filipino and a resident of Purok Paran, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued on May 3, 2018 by Honorable Johnabel H Tabunda, Presiding Judge, 7th MCTC, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of Less Serious Physical Injuries under Criminal Case Number 18-2280-T with recommended bail of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php10, 000.00.) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now temporarily detained at Tabina MPS detention cell waiting for court disposition.

Wanted Person Cuffed in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.15, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and PNP personnel of Lakewood MPS conducted a Joint Manhunt Operation “Charlie” at about 2:00pm of August 13, 2018 at Hofileña Street, San Pedro District, Pagadian City

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Sanny Panang Sumampong aka “Sonny Boy Sumampong”, 26 years old, male, single, Filipino and resident of Brgy San Francisco, Pagadian City.

The accused was arresated by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 1792-L for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide and Damage to Property issued by Hon Judge Norlinda R Amante-Descallar, Presiding Judge, 13th MCTC, 9th Judicial Region, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur on July 25, 2018.     

The arrested wanted person is now under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station for documentation and booking procedure prior turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.

1 policeman , 3 civilian wounded in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.11, 2018) – One policeman and two civilian were wounded in Shooting incident transpired fronting Julies Bakeshop, Jamisola, Santa Lucia, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:45pm of August 10, 2018.

PSupt. Alvin P. Saguban, OIC Pagadian City Chief of Police identified the Victim as PO2 Prometheus Paras Remolador, 41 years old, male, married, presently assigned at Regional Mobile force Battalion 9, 902nd Maneuvering Company, Balintawak Pagadian City, Glendel Garciano Delator, 33 years old, male, single, a resident of Purok Sweetlove, Dumagoc, Pagdian City and Melchor Pasyol Siso, 21 years old, mael, single and a resident of Purok Sweetlove, Dumagoc, Pagadian City, both letchon worker of PO2 Remolador

Investigation disclosed that on or about 8:40pm of August 10, 2018, allegedly while PO2 Remolador, together with two other victims Delator and Siso were at the letchon display booth owned and managed by the victim PO2 Remolador, located at Purok Madasigon, Jamisola Street, Santa Lucia, Pagadian City there were two unidentified male riding in-tandem on board on a black Honda wave with unknown plate number stopped at the side of the letchon display booth and shoot PO2 Remolador several times.

However, the two letchon workers name stated above were also hit during the incident. PO2 Remlador sustained one gunshot wound on his left breast and penetrated to his left shoulder blade and another gunshot on his left buttocks, while Delator sustained bullet grazed on his left face, and Siso sustaine gunshot wound on his right shoulder.

After the incident the suspects fled away towards the direction of Santa Lucia, Pagadian City. The victims were rushed to Jofeliña Hospital, Pajares Street Pagadian City for medical attention.

Recovered from the crime scene were four fired cartridge casing and one deformed slug of cal.45 allegedly fired from the firearms used in the commission of the crime.

Pagadian City Police office is still conducting hot pursuit against the fleeing suspects. On the other hand as of the moment, the victim were now on stable situation. However, still they were confined at Jofeliña Hospital, Pagadian City, under observation with their attending physician for total recovery. RA 9262 Violator Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 10, 2018) – The PNP Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Zone 9, Block 2, Lot 5, Phase 2, Lower Alta Tierra Tiguma Subdivision, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City at about 5:00 PM of August 9, 2018.

This resulted was in the successful arrest of Elviro Marabulas jr. y Cabanas,37 years old, born on November, 25,1980, male, married and a resident of the above-mentioned place

TThe accused was arrested by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of section 5, RA 9262 or otherwise known as the "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004."The case was docketed with criminal case number 16-13068 dated June 13, 2018 issued by: Hon. Cleto r Villacora III, Presiding Judge, RTC National Capital Region, branch 229,Quezon Citywith No bail recommended.  

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

Hacking Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 10, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Purok Mabuhay, San Francisco District, Pagadian City at about 5:20 PM of August 8, 2018.

Accordingly, the victim identified as Noel Balasi Gemeniano was at the house of Herminio Geminiano Jr. drinking liquor alone when his cousin identified as Jumar Kent Dela Rosa Gemeniano, of legal age, and a resident of Cabrera St. San Francisco District, Pagadian City surfaced and went inside the house.

The victim noticed that the suspect Jumar Kent, upon arriving at the house dropped his bag in the table in an angry manner and told him that he was being backbitten by the victim.

Both involved persons engage in a heated argument wherein at the height of their altercation, suspect took bolo knife which was placed on the lobby and immediately hacked the victim.

The victim sustained 4cm laceration on his left forearm. After the incident suspect hurriedly went out from the house and going to Alliance Church direction.

Murder Suspect Arrested

PAGADIAN CITY (10, 2018) – The Detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and Tangub City Police Station conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 8:30 PM of August 08, 2018 at Purok 1, Barangay Prenza, Tangub City.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the murdr suspect identified as MelchorCateanVellegas, 42 years old, male, married, farmer, Filipino and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Pedolunan, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder with criminal case number 12184-2k15 issued on July 24, 2015 by Honorable Judge Rolando L Goan, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City.

The accused is now in protective custody and booking procedure of Tangub City Police Station with no bail bond recommended.

1 injured in Electrocution Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 9, 2018) - Electrocution incident transpired at Pulmones St, corner Aquino Street, Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at about 4:00 AM of August 7, 2018.

The victim identified as Rene Cuatro Carreon, 50 years old, male, married, truck man and a resident of Purok Bagong Buhay, Balangasan, Pagadian City, he was electrocuted while he was on board at the top of a wing van truck with plate number 030101, engine number 6D24-262038 and chassis number FU577UY-500026. The wing van truck is registered in the name of Isabel Espadilla Guanzon, 38 years old, married, businesswoman and resident of Bagong Buhay, Balangasan, Pagadian City, driven by Alberto Mira Simbajon.    

Initial investigation disclosed that while the wing van truck was travelling along Pulmones St, corner Aquino Street, the roof of the truck hurdled a live wire of ZAMSURECO.

Immediately, the victim tried to remove the live wires using his bare hands that resulted to an electrocution and fell down from the truck. The victim was then rushed to Hofileña Hospital for medical treatment.

Based on the medical certificate issued by the attending physician dated August 7, 2018, the victim sustained electrical burn at the right first finger and 7cm lacerated wound secondary to fall, secondary to electrocution. Victim now confined at said hospital for further observation. Investigator is PO2 Gay Marie Morga with CP # 0910-9355-616.

Estafa suspect arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 9, 2018) – The Detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station have arrested a female student for the crime of Estafa at City Hall Complex, Pagadian City at about 10:30 AM of August 7, 2018.

PSUPT Alvin S Saguban, Acting Chief of Police of Pagadian City Police, identified the accused as Thana Andrea Villagonzalo Jeanjaquet, 25 years old, single, female, student and resident of Purok Lawis, Sta Lucia, Pagadian City

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under CC # RTC-6895 for the crime of Estafa issued April 25, 2017 by Hon Judge Edmundo P Pintac, Executive Judge, RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Ozamis City. 

The arrested wanted person was brought to Pagadian CPS for documentation and booking procedure prior turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.

RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug 7, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at City Hall Complex, Gatas District, Pagadian Cityat about 3:37 PM of August 6, 2018

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Edlealyn Olaira y Empalmado, 16 years old, born on February 12, 2002, female, single, minor, Filipino and a resident of Purok Nazareth, Barangay Lenienza, Pagadian City

The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of section 10 of RA 7610,  otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. the case was docketed with criminal case number 13902-2K18, dated June 8, 2018 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 22, Pagadian city with bail recommended of EightyThousand (Php80,000.00) pesos.  

The arrested accused person is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

RA 9262 Violator Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug 7, 2018) - The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and Oroquieta City Police Station successfully arrested the w anted person during the conduct of joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 2:32pm of August 05, 2018 at Purok Talong 2, Barangay Kahayagan, Pagadian City.

Pagadian City OIC City Chief of Police Supt Saguban identified the arrested wanted person as Freddie Tura Madelo, 29 years old, male, married, farmer, Filipino and a resident of Purok Talong 2, Barangay Kahayagan, Pagadian City

Supt. Saguban said that the accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation Of Section 5 (I) Of R.A 9262 with criminal case number 2891-13 issued on December 18, 2017 by Honorable Judge Roy U. Murallon, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 13, Oroquieta City

Drug Dealer Arrested in Pagadian City Drug Bust

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 7, 2018) – The Drugs Enforcement Team of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation at Bagong Silang, Barangsay Sta Lucia, Pagadian City at about 2:00pm of August 4, 2018.

The operation resulted to the arrest of one (1) Ayatulla Aidil Arajan aka Tuls, 39 years old, male, married, driver by occupation, high school graduate and a resident of Logoy Grande V, Talon-talon, Zamboanga City.

Confiscated from the suspect were two pcs small heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance (buy bust) and three pcs large heat sealed sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” (in possession) with estimated market value Php30,000.00-Php40,000.00 and a Php500.00 pesos with serial number EZ678448 used as buy-bust money.

Subject arrested person and confiscated items are now in custody of said police office for proper filing of case for Violation of Sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165.

Robbery (Thievery) Incident inside SCC School.

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 6, 2018) –  Cash and Jewelry was missing in Robbery (thievery) incident transpired at Saint Columban College situated at Cerilles Street corner Sagun Street, San Francisco District, Pagadian City.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the said thievery incident discovered last July 30, 2018 around 6:45am but the complainant/victim decided first to seek an internal investigation as per SCC board protocol. However, the investigation yield negative. The stolen cash amounted to twenty five thousand (Php25, 000.00) pesos that was placed inside a box and in a closed cabinet inside computer clinic at the abovementioned place. The cabinet’s lock was forcibly opened using an unknown tool.

Further investigation conducted revealed, that there was also a thievery incident discovered last August 2, 2018 round 5:10pm at the still abovementioned place. The victim identified as Devonni Hingone Y Solis, 28 years old, female, single, guidance counselor at Saint Columban College (SCC) and a resident of New Village, Municipality of Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. She discovered missing her one piece gold bracelet jewelry worth fifteen thousand (Php 15,000.00) pesos.

The said jewelry was placed inside her office at the drawer of her table without lock.

The victims as per advised by Rev. Father Loyd Alvin Mosqueda, vice president for administration and finance (SCC) decided to file the case thru their legal counsel Atty. Boen Doroteo Cabahug.

The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting a follow-up investigation for the possible identification of the suspect/s. Investigator is PO1 Eliezer Kiram Requejo Jr with cellular phone number 0912-5113212.

Dead Body Found inside the Lodging House at Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY(Aug. 3, 2018) - A dead body was reportedly found in the room at Lyn’s Lodging House, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM of August 02, 2018.

Police Superintendent Alvin P Saguban, Chief of Police, said that the victim identified as Refaila Abing y Pepito, 40 years old, female, Filipino, married and a resident of Zone 1, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City, was lodged at the aforementioned place about 1:30 AM of August 02, 2018 together with unidentified male companion.

The owner of the lodging house could not produce any documents to identify the male suspect because they have no logbook to register their costumer. Based on a CCTV Footage viewed by the responding investigator that the victim and the unidentified suspect entered the room and at about 2:56 in the morning of same date the suspect came out at the room alone wearing helmet and without slipper.

After a few seconds the suspect turn back and entered the room and after a few seconds went out from the room and already wearing his slipper and locked the door of the room and left the room going downward at the lodging house.

The cadaver of the victim now lies at Gamalinda Funeral Home. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting a follow up investigation for possible identification of the fleeing suspect. RA 9262 Violator Cuffed in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Aug. 3, 2018) - The detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted Manhunt Operation “Charlie” at Purok Tugas, Balangasan District, Pagadian City at about 10:00 AM of August 1, 2018.

The  operation was fdzhlted to the arrest of the susped identied as Al Rica Lambiuit, 30 years old, male, single, Filipino and resident of the above-mentioned place

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 13918-1k18 for the crime of Violation of Section 5(i) of RA 9262 issued by Hon Judge Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City on June 20, 2018.

Rape Suspect Cuffed in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, ZamboSur (Aug. 2, 2018) – The Combined operatives of Pagadian City Police Station and Tambulig Municipal Police Station successfully arrested the  rape suspect during the conduct of a joint Manhunt Operation “Charlie” at Integrated Bus Terminal, Barangay Bulatoc, Pagadian City at about 10:15am of July 29, 

PSup. Alvin P, Saguban, OIC, Pagadian City Chief of Police identified the arrested wanted person as Julito Alinanera Canduleaka “Julito” Aleniar Candole, 40 years old, male, married, Filipino and resident of Purok Sweetlove, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City.

Supt Saguban disclosed that the accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of “Rape” with Criminal Case # 2018-10-3552 issued on June 29, 2018 by Hon Judge Jaime B Caberte, Acting Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Pagadian City.

Further, the above-arrested person now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS custodial facility for booking procedures. (By JONG CADION)

Flash Flood in Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur

TUKURAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Aug. 1, 2018) - The River at Barangay Camanga, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur overflowed at about 4:40pm of July 27, 2018.

The PNP elements of Tukuran Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Committee (MDRRMC) proceeded to the affected barangays to give warnings and to assist the affected families to evacuate from their houses if needed and to control the increasing traffic. 

               

The incident was due to heavy rains occurred on the mountainous areas of Tukuran that cause flood to Brgy, Camanga and Upper Bayao, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The flood raises about 1 meter from the ground that cover the rice fields with water that affects more or less 20 residential houses and destroy some of the road railings with estimated cost of damage amounting to (50,000.00) fifty thousand pesos.

Meanwhile, at about 5:00pm of the same date the level of the flood began to low and drain the roads and rice fields with no casualty accounted. ]]

Rape Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Aug. 1, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station successfully arrested the rape suspect during the conduct of manhunt operation at Purok Masanagon, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City at about 2:30pm July 28, 2018, City Police Official said.

PSupt Saguban, OIC Police Chief of Pagadian City Police Station identified the arrested rape suspect as Melven Berjame Ambetalias “Don-Don”, 26 years old, born on March 10, 1992, with live-in partner, male, Filipino and a resident of Purok Bangus, Barangay White Beach, Pagadian City

Supt Saguban said that the accused was arrested by virtue of two Warrant of Arrest issued by Honorable Judge Peter V Eisma, Regional Trial Court of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Zamboanga City dated July 17, 2017. The first warrant is for Violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 7610 with criminal case no. 36333 with Two Hundred Thousand pesos (Php200, 000.00) bail recommended and four Counts of Rape with criminal case no. 36329 to 36332 with no bail recommended, Supt. Saguban added.

COP Saguban said that the arrested subject person is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

Theft Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (July 28, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Block 9, Lot 7, Rosario Homes Subdivision, Dao, Pagadian City at about 5:00 PM of July 26, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Nerriza B Donting-Canoy, 34 years old, resident of above-mentioned place.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest with CC number 13590-2K17 for Qualified Theft issued by Hon Judge Dennis P Vicoy, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City on February 12, 2018.     

The above-arrested person is now temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station detention facility for proper disposition and booking procedures.
