Wanted Man Held

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 12, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at City Hall Complex, Gatas District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 11, 2019 at about 2:20 PM.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Zenan Consolacion Malabanan, 35 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Esmeralda- A, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City. 

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang (BP) 22, docketed under Criminal Case number 15-0896, dated 09 January 2019, issued by Presiding Judge, National Capital Judicial Region, Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch LXXXVII (87), Parañaque City with bail bond recommended fixed at Two Thousand Pesos (Php2,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Subject person was brought to Pagadian CPS for booking purposes and is now temporarily under the custody of Pagadian CPS.

Female Arrested for Libel

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 12, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Aquino, Barangay Sto. Niño, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 11, 2019 at about 4:35 PM.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Merlita Balido Aying, 36 years old (April 14, 1982), female, with live-in partner, and resident of Purok Aquino, Barangay Santo Niño, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Libel under R.A. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act, docketed under Criminal Case number 40388, dated 27 December 2018, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 12, Zamboanga City with bail bond recommended fixed at Seventy Two Thousand Pesos (Php72,000.00) for her temporary liberty.

Subject person was brought to Pagadian CPS for booking purposes and is now temporarily under the custody of Pagadian CPS.              

Violation of R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban

PAGADIAN CITY (Feb. 13, 2019) - An apprehension in violation of R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban Incident transpired at about 11:15 PM of February 12, 2019 along Rizal Avenue, beside PS Bank, Gatas District, Pagadian City.

Pagadian City Police Station received information that there was an alleged suspicious male person bringing firearms in the vicinity of Paclibar Boarding House as described by female boarders who feared of their safety.

Suspect was identified as Abdullah Yassen y Asaraji, 32 years old, male, Filipino, single, an alleged member of MNLF and a resident of Purok Avocado, Tuburan District, Pagadian City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect was roaming around the vicinity of the Paclibar boarding house who was figured looking for his girlfriend by shouting to some boarders inside the house while brandishing a handgun.

The Intelligence operatives of Pagadian CPS rushed to the aforementioned place that upon arrival, they saw the reported suspect standing on an alley, besides PS Bank building, along Rizal Ave. leading to the Paclibar boarding house.

The team frisked the suspect and conducted search, checked his black sling bag and recovered One (1) unit Caliber 9mm pistol loaded with one (1) magazine containing seven (7) live ammunitions and four (4) live ammunitions without pertinent documents.

The suspect violated R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban who was placed on arrest and now under custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

More than 100 houses razed by Fire Incident

Pagadian City (Feb. 4, 2019) – More than 100 houses were razed by Fire incident transpired at Purok Bakhaw B, Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM of February 03, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that fire originated from the house owned by Certain Neneng Dupio wherein accordingly the latter cook a fried banana where she left the frying pan unattended with boiling oil.

As the pan burst into fire it engulfed the house made of light materials. The fire spread to the neighboring houses.

Upon arrival by the responding Bureau of Fire Personnel, the above-mentioned house was already raze to the ground scattered to the adjacent houses that resulted to the burning of more or less One Hundred (100) household owners/residents (fire victims) as the area was of informal settlers.

PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station facilitated the traffic direction and control and prevented possible looters while the personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) extinguished the fire and process the crime scene.

The BFP declared the fire control at about 10:30 in the morning and fire out at about 12:03 in the afternoon of same date.

The bureau is now conducting in-depth investigation regarding the incident while estimated total damage cost is more or less of One Million Pesos (₱1,000,000.00) with no persons physically injured.

Officials of the Barangay Kawit are now consolidating the number of families affected.

Mauling Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - Mauling incident transpired at Aurilio Oceña Boarding House, located at Purok Nangka, Tuburan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about: 11:50 PM of February 1, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Precious May Armada, 20 years old, female, single, student, a resident of Purok Makugihon, Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

Suspect was arrested and identified as Alhari Dumpa Macabago, 20 years old, male, single, student and a resident of Purok 13, Poblacion Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim went to the Aurilio Oceña Boarding House, located at Purok Nangka, Tuburan, Pagadian City to comply the request of Alhari Macabago to be there purposely to talk him and with his girlfriend Laina Cuevas (ex-girlfriend of the victim who is currently girlfriend of the suspect).

That at the said boarding house the victim went immediately inside the room of Laina. Thereat, she saw Alhari the suspect of this case with Laina inside the room.

Then the suspect locked the door immediately and without any apparent reason using his superior strength as a man punched the victim’s head several times.

After the incident the suspect was successfully arrested by the responding Police Officers and brought to Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

The victim already obtained her medical examination result issued to her by the attending Physician at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center indicated with the healing period of 5-7 days.   

RA 7942 (Theft of Minerals) Violator Held

Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station/ Deputized Agent of DENR, together with Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZSPMFC) conducted checkpoint operation at National Highway of Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 2, 2019 at about 11:30 AM.  

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation resulted to the arrest of suspect/driver one (1) Heracleo Arambala Bucog, 59 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Alta Tierra, Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City, and seizure/confiscation of one (1) unit Isuzu Mini-Dump Truck, color blue, bearing plate number 090104, registered under the name of Rey Codilla, loaded with aggregates without pertinent documents.  

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell, while appropriate case for violation of RA 7942 (Theft of Minerals) is now being prepared for filing in court.

Subject vehicle/dump truck with aggregates was turned over to DENR Balintawak for proper disposition.
